As a follow up to a recent post, we are in the waiting process with our adoption. God has taught us so much in the past year about HIS faithfulness, HIS love for us, HIS perfect and sovereign plan, and HIS adoption of us as HIS sons and daughters! Many of you have already walked alongside us and loved on us throughout this process, but we do want to extend an opportunity for anyone who is interested in financially supporting us in this journey to get involved as you wish. Through our adoption agency, Lifeline Children's Services, our total adoption costs are expected to end up around $25,000. This includes Application Fees, Home Study Fee, Program Fees, Placement Fees, and travel costs to travel to, stay with, and ultimately bring our baby home.
“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to care for orphans* and widows in their affliction…” James 1:27
There are many ways to care for the orphan with one way being financially supporting those in the adoption process. We would love it if you came along side us in this process and see it as a great opportunity, as part of the Body of Christ, in answering God's call to care for a child in need of parents.
*When we use see this term orphan, we are in no way implying that birth families are abandoning their child. That’s really not how adoption works. It’s an intentionally chosen path the birth family moves towards BUT in the end the child does need parents to raise them and that is who they are looking for.

What exactly is an Adoption Puzzle Fundraiser?
Here's how it works:
- Below is a picture of the 500 piece puzzle we chose for this fundraiser
- Each piece can be purchased with a $10 or more donation
- Names of donors will be placed on the back side of each puzzle piece purchased. (We would love for local participants that purchase a puzzle piece to personally put their signature on the back side. You will be contacted by us or Duane & Amanda Kaeb to receive your puzzle piece. For out of town participants your name will be signed on the back side on your behalf.)
After the puzzle is completed, we will frame the puzzle between two pieces of glass and hang it in our child's room. This will be a wonderful keepsake for us and our child to remember all those who loved on us, prayed for him/her, and helped made this adoption possible through sacrificial giving. Every person who donates to our adoption becomes a part of our story; a piece of our puzzle!
