Hoerr Travel Adventure!

From May 6th-18th I (Kait) and Judson went on an adventure to Illinois and Wisconsin.  The neatest part of our trip was that we were able to spend time with each person on our Hoerr side of the family.  It was very hard to leave Matt for 13 days, but we were glad that we took up the opportunity to see everyone.

The trip started with Papa coming out to visit us for a few days.  He then drove Judson and myself back to Quincy where we met up with Nana.  From Quincy Nana took us to Chicago where we spent time with Chase, Aubrey, and Alex.  From Chicago Nana drove us to Wisconsin where we spent Mother's Day weekend at Mark and Ashley's house.  Nana then left to head back to Quincy while Judson and myself stayed in Wisconsin for another week.  On the 18th then Ashley drove us to the airport and we flew back to Kansas where we were very happy to meet back up with daddy.

Here is our trip in pictures!

Judson and Papa got some good snuggles in while he was here.

In Quincy we met up with great grandma for dinner.

CHICAGO!  We had fun seeing the area where Chase and Aubrey live and even got to spend the night in their apartment.

We ate some yummy and not some yummy food (Aub's, you know!).  Judson got lots of lovin'.

Love Judson's expression here....... :)

For breakfast we headed to Aubrey's restaurant: Le Pain Quotidien.  My new favorite.

Judson liked the crayons.

This picture does not do this waffle justice.  Simply delicious!

I love this picture of Aubrey toting Judson around the streets of Chicago.

We made it to Wisconsin.  Here is Nana with her 4 grandkids.  I think Judson could fit into Ashley's family.

Movie time

It's always good to have a Nana around.

Mark and Reuben worked hard on Saturday.  Us girls stuck close talking more then helping.  Oh, Alex came to Wisconsin for Saturday.  I love being with my sisters!

Guess who is under the pillows and blanket?  ME!  Reuben told me he made me a rock.

After dinner singing.  Judson's favorite time of day.

Reuben was an exceptional guitar player.  ;)

While in Wisconsin Judson learned to love sleeping with a blanket.  When I showed Matt this picture he wondered where the blue blankets were.  Well, girl stuff is abundant at the Sauder house.

Mark and Ash had their garage floor poured while we were there.  Reuben was so excited to watch.  I don't think he stopped watching till they were done.

Getting out to go to the children's amusement park.

We got there, got unloaded, took a picture then realized they were closed.  Oops!

Good thing there were seagulls to chase!

We headed to the mall play place instead.

Burn energy.  Burn!

We attempted to take a group picture of the kids.  Here we are getting them ready.

Here is the best shot we got.  Hehe :)

Lunch at McDonalds after playing then back home for naps.

When we first got to the Sauder's house Judson was terrified of Tori.  Here he is tolerating a bath with her.

Vienna the little mom.  She asked me if she could feed Judson his bottle.  She did a good job and kept telling me how she loved feeding him.

I needed to keep Judson occupied for a bit one evening, so he watched a movie through his pack-n-play.

Chill time

These lovelies came from Matt.  He sure knows how to surprise me in such a good way!

This occupied these 3 for quite some time.

I think Judson was looking at a bird here.  Made for a funny picture.  :D

Mark is full of patience.  He moved basically the whole yard (and it is big) with Reuben's "help."

On Saturday we tried out the children's amusement park again and it was open.  We stood in line for what felt like a loooong time to ride this train.

Judson would see the train come and go and get excited every time it showed back up and cry and reach for it when it would go out of sight.  I was relieved when we finally got to the front of the line.

Train buddies

:)

Finally we are off!

We then tried the carousel.  Judson liked it until it started moving.......

For most of the ride Judson laid on my shoulder and sobbed his way through the ride.  I may have done this when I was little too.  He takes after me in this area.  :)

Judson however loved riding the boats with Reuben and Vienna.

And the ladybug.

Check out the racer face.  :)

I got to sit in the back of the van on a few occasions with Reuben and Vienna.  We had fun!

It was so special that Judson got to spend over a week with his Hoerr cousins.  Even though we live states away I want him to grow up knowing then and having great relationships with them.

Here we are being dropped off at the airport by Ash.  We had a smooth trip home and were sooooo happy to be back with Matt.  Thankful for the memories made!
