Shoe Fanatic

Judson has gotten really good at walking around in shoes that are 10x his size.  I guess I can start buying his shoes nice and big and he can wear them for a looooong time.

Kaeb Girls Getaway

It's hard to believe that this years Kaeb Girls Getaway marked the 4th year in a row that we have been able to do.  This year was a little different as we spent the weekend in KC at Amity's house instead of a hotel.  It was fun to have a living room to lounge in and our mornings were slow with coffee and everyone stirring at different times.

What do we do with our time together?  Eat, eat, EAT.  Sleep in.  Connect.  Goof off.  Shop.  Enjoy each others company.  Just be together.  I love that I have a mother-in-law and 6 sister-in-laws who desire to be with each other.  There are many different personalities in this group of gals and I'm thankful for the Christ-like love and grace that gets extended to one another.  Each one of these women are amazing and each has impacted my life!

It was a rejuvenating weekend full of lots of things fancy.  We all have stellar guys as they are the ones who make this weekend possible.

Alex Visits

A couple months ago my sister Alex called me and said she was going to book a plane ticket to come visit us.  I was elated!  She ended up coming from a Friday-Monday over Labor Day weekend.  I picked her up from the airport early Friday morning and we had a full 4 days together.

We started off the weekend by heading to Emporia, KS to visit our Jev family there.  It was great because my uncle, aunt, and cousins from Illinois were visiting them that same weekend.  We of course had amazing food the whole weekend and were thankful to see family we rarely get to see.

Judson and Haddon spend a good part of their evening destroying the spice rack.

Choo-choo.  This train track was a highlight of Judson's weekend along with the playmates.

This a great picture of what the men do when we visit.  My Uncle John and Aunt Maria have been a great source of spiritual growth for both Matt and myself.

Back in Sabetha we had a pizza night at Dad and Mom Kaeb's house.  It was fun for Alex to connect with them and Duane and Amanda.

We spend some time in KC before we dropped Alex back off at the airport.

Thanks for visiting Al!  I love that you made the effort to come visit us and pour into your little nephew.  You amaze me!

Another Week in Illinois

We went on a last minute trip to Illinois a couple weeks ago.  Matt needed to do some work out there and of course I jumped at the opportunity to join him!

We stopped in Hannibal to have lunch with my mom and my grandparents from California.  It was my mom's birthday and we enjoyed celebrating with her over lunch.

Deka and Peggy were passing through Hannibal on their way back to Cali.  It was special to spend some time with them as we do not get to see them often enough.

We then headed to Neal and Kim's house.  Judson LOVES his Kellenberger cousins and Aunt Kim.  Uncle Neal is still growing on him.  :)

These 3!  Shena and Kebe mothered Judson the whole time we were there.  Judson liked the attention and that the girls wanted to play with him.

He found a tiny baby that became his nap buddy while we were there.

What can I say about sis Kim?  THAT I LOVE HER AND ALWAYS HAVE FUN WITH HER!  It's crazy that she was my friend before I even knew Matt.  I have a husband with awesome friend benefits.  :D

There is usually at least one soccer game when we visit.  Here is Brazil facing off with Argentina.

Cai giving Judson some soccer tips.

Can you see why Judson loves his Kberger cousins?

Saturday morning us adults set out to do a 5k to support Lifeline Children's Services (Un)adopted ministry.  It was fun to mostly walk and talk and enjoy the EARLY morning together.

We then headed back to Quincy for a few days with Nana.

Matt and I took my mom up on watching Judson while we went on a date.  We headed to the riverfront to walk and chat before a dinner at Panera.

We then went to a few stores to do some browsing.  We were really tempted to buy these $3 ugly sweaters.

We enjoy getting to go to church where my mom goes and see where she has plugged in for the past few years.

Judson loving on his Nana.  She sure is special!
