Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Mathew

You are adored by your son (and wife)!  Your commitment to be a godly father shines clearly each day.  I am filled with gratitude toward God to have you as the father of our children!

As a gift to daddy, Judson made a special photo book of him and daddy times.

We were honored to have both fathers over for dinner on Father's Day weekend.

San Antonio/CTEN Orientation

In June we went to Kerrville, Tx for our orientation training with our missions agency Commission to Every Nation (CTEN).  We flew to San Antonio a day and a half before the orientation to spend some time on the beautiful and magnificent River Walk.  We had heard the River Walk was a romantic, stunning place to visit and it surely didn't disappoint!  We immensely enjoyed spending quality 1-on-1 time together and will never forget the German restaurant we ate at.

This was the view from the hotel floor we stayed on.

We went up on the roof of our hotel and check out the views.

I (Kait) like this view!  :)

Matt has learned my fondness for iced coffee over the years.  We started out our second morning with him leading me to the closest Starbucks to grab one.  I can follow this leading!!!  :D

The Alamo

This Copper Gallery was so neat!  I came out wearing a new necklace.

I had to pull Matt's leg to get a picture of him in this hat.

The German meal.  MOUTH WATERING.

Riding the river boat

We then headed to Kerrville to our orientation.  We were warmly greeted!  The days consisted of many things from meeting the CTEN team, learning the ins and outs of how life works within the CTEN world (publishing, financial, etc.), working through team dynamics, culture acquisition, support raising, and great fellowship among brothers and sisters in Christ.

Each of these flags represents a country and missionaries at our orientation heading to each of these places.

We are overjoyed to be in the care of Bill and Elizabeth, our pastoral care couple (to the right of Kait).  They serve CTEN missionaries in Asia and the Middle East.  This group is their new missionaries they will be caring for.

We enjoyed spending some time getting to know Bill and Elizabeth.  We connected well with them and are thankful for their years of experience in missions.  Their wisdom and love for the Lord will be a great source to tap into.

It was a thrill to meet and connect with the Byers family who are serving among the Isaan people group of Northeastern Thailand.  We are looking forward to an ongoing friendship with them into the future.

We got to tour the Coming King Sculpture Garden in Kerrville.

Jevermov Reunion

Back in May the Midwest Jev clan gathered together in Quincy, IL.  We used to do this once a year but since families have expanded it hasn't happened in a few years.  My family met up a day early and Judson was thrilled to see his Wisconsin cousins.

Then the reunion started.  As we sat around and counted all the in-laws that have joined the family and children that have been born since the last reunion we were amazed.  It was a special time, especially for us, as we most likely will miss any future Jev gatherings.

Of course there was the traditional soccer game.  :)

Story time!
