Hoerr MerryThanksChristmas

Life has seemed a little overwhelming lately.  Overwhelming not in all bad ways.....just busy with what feels like 10,000 things going on.  In the midst of our busyness, we feel blessed.  Blessed to be children of God, blessed to have each other, blessed to be the parents of Judson, blessed to get to know our foster girl-mom and baby, blessed to live in our little house in our little town, blessed that Matt has a stable job, blessed to live near family, and blessed to have sweet friends to just name a few.

(It's good for me to sit down and stare at the words I just typed and let the gratitude sink deeper into my heart because a grateful heart is a worshiping heart!)  Too often this is not my heart.

Psalm 7:17 "I will give to the LORD the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the LORD, the Most High."

We got together with my family over Thanksgiving and celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas together.  We had a sweet time together, and I always soak up being with my sisters because the moments when we are all 4 together are RARE.  I have come to understand why my mom would continually tell my sisters and I, in the moments of raging hormonal crashes, that someday we would come to understand that sisters have a special bond.  It is not that growing up we never realized that special bond.  We just appreciate the sister-bond to a much greater extent now and have learned grace in the midst of those hormonal collisions.  :)

Breakfast together waiting on Mark and Ashley to get in town.

The Sibs United: Mark & Ashley, Chase & Aubrey, Matt & I, and Alexandra.  Love them all!

:)

Someone had to be doing something pretty funny behind the camera..........

I very much appreciate my mom and all the work she does when we all come together.  She is so thoughtful and I'm thankful for her!

Here is one happy Papa.  :D

We celebrated Matt's birthday while in Quincy.  Happy 27th to my most favorite, amazing, hunk of a husband!!!!!!!

We enjoyed Matt's birthday present all weekend.

Our grocery fun turned into a friend spotting.  Love when I go back home and get to see Kourt!  Most of my old friendships have dwindled since I now live in a different state, so I'm grateful that Kourt and I have little opportunities to catch up.

The proof that we had a great Thanksgiving meal.

Alex cracks me up.

I love that she cracks me up!  Love her!

One of my favorite things to do when I go back to Quincy is go to TJ Maxx.  Alex and I didn't let the fact that we had 2 babies to watch stop us.  Good thing they are both well behaved babies.

Lastly, as you can see, Judson loves his Aunt Alex.

To my family---I LOVE AND ALREADY MISS YOU!

Chiefs Game

Last weekend we attended the chiefs game with Jason & Maggi, Derek & Sarah, and Felipe.

Go Chiefs!  It was a cold day so we bundled up pretty toasty.  This was my (Kaits) 1st Chiefs game experience.  Nice to say that they won.  :)

Would I go again?  Yes, but next time would wear a few more layers on my toes.

What Judsons Been Up To

We've had about a month of silence here on our blog, so it's catch-up time on one of my most favorite subjects: Judson.

Judson has conquered the walk and is working on getting the run down.  He feels so much older now that I see his little body walking all over the house.  Walking gives him new vantage points and he seems to find new things everyday to get into.

Here are pictures from the past month:

One day I looked over into the living room expecting to see Judson playing and this is what I found.  Mr. Danger.

Mr. Stinker.  We finally finished putting the childproof locks on all our bottom kitchen cabinets.

This is how Matt and I found Judson one day.....in the oven drawer trying to pull the oven open.

We are still working with Judson to get him to eat solids.  He is making slow and steady progress.  Patience mom, patience.

He loves to push our kitchen table chairs around the kitchen.

We stopped into KSi at one point last month to visit daddy.

Love him!

Grandpa Kaeb was harvesting a few weeks ago, so I took Judson out to ride with him.  All Judson kept saying was, "Ohhhhh.  Ohhhhh!"

One happy farmer boy here.

Daddy had fun supporting the KC Royals on their road to the World Series last month.  Too bad they lost.....

Judson was a great KC mini fan.

Last month we had some BEAUTIFUL days.  We spent an afternoon at Matt's parents pond four-wheeling and paddle boating.

Judson despised his life jacket.

These 2 make me smile.  :D

Love when I find Judson in a silly sleeping position!

We ate at a pizza place that had this game, and let's just say that Judson had quite the fit when it was time to be done playing.

Judson + Eskimo hat = ADORABLE

We had our first snow this past Saturday.  Judson was nervous all day long.  He stuck close to Matt or myself and continually kept peering outside.  Maybe when the next snow happens we will get him out in it.

Nieces Day Out

The Kaeb nieces and nephew from KC are in town staying with grandpa and grandma while their parents are enjoying their 10th anniversary in Chicago.  It's a treat for Tristyn, Maelyn, and Rylen to be in town, so Amanda and I decided that it would be fun to spend some girly time with T & M.  We headed to Seneca for lunch, some shopping, and some craziness!

Can you tell the drama is in the front row?  ;)

When you have girls, a bridal veil, and a fake groom how can you not take a wedding picture?

What beautiful blushing brides!

I adore this girl!  Love being her aunt!

Yes, I love this girl too....she keeps me laughing!

On our way back to grandma's house the girls had a sweet idea to pick up a treat for the working grandpa and uncles.  Hmm, what could we get them?  Tea of course!  What Kaeb doesn't like tea?

Some spoiled uncles here.

Safety glasses picture!

Oh my....they have PINK safety glasses!!!

We had a fun, fuN, fUN, FUN afternoon!
