Papa is here to visit us for a bit, and we (especially Judson) have been enjoying his company. He offered to put in a patio by our deck, and of course, we said YES!
We picked up the materials at Menards and recruited a few friends to help unload the 360 pavers and supplies.
The next morning Papa got busy and showed us some of his skills.
Here is where the patio is now. The BEFORE picture.
First stage done: Digging
Onto stage 2: Rock and Sand
Stage 3: compacting the sandy rock to create a solid foundation
Stage 4: Break time!
Ok, real stage 4: Creating a level surface and laying the pavers
