A Royal Day

This past Friday Matt and I decided to go spend our evening/night at Troy and Amity's and then on Saturday do a little baby registering before we caught the afternoon Royals game.  It was a beautiful afternoon and thankfully we got seats in the shade the whole game.  To top it off they even won their game which made me happy because it made my dear husband happy! :D

I couldn't resist taking and posting this picture of Matt and Rylen.  Rylen over this summer has seemed to grow fond of Matt.  The last few times we have seen Rylen, Matt picks him up and he just lays on Matt's shoulder.  We thought that he just loves to cuddle with Matt, but we found out this past Friday that he lays his head on Matt's shoulder so he doesn't have to make eye contact with Matt.  Haha,  oh well.....Matt will take the cuddling no matter what!

A Knight and His Lady

Matt and I are apart of our church's VBS program this year playing the roles of the storytellers to the kids.  He gets to be Sir Mathew the Great and I get to be his sidekick Lady Kait of Kansas.

My, my doesn't he look great?  I definitely married a knight in shining armor!  =)

It has been fun to be involved with this year's VBS and also to learn that my husband has some pretty good acting skills.

Kaeb Vacation

Dad and mom Kaeb took all of the family to Branson for a week.  It was quite the time.....especially when you have 9 kids under the age of 4.  =)  We spent the week relaxing together and got to experience Silver Dollor City and the Dixie Stampede.  I would have to say that it is amazing the such a group can get together and all love and respect each other.  I'm so thankful to be part of a family that loves the Lord and desires to glorify Him in word and action.

24 Week Baby Bump

Well, here I am at the 24 week.  I'm amazed at how my belly just keeps pushing out further.

3 Years of Marriage

Our 3rd year anniversary came and went last Thursday.  The week leading up to it was a pretty eventful week full of basement flooding and moving our foster kids to their new home.  We had a ton of rain last week, and one evening Matt and his dad and our brother-in-law Neal pumped over 300 gallons of water from our newly finished basement.  Looks like the basement project isn't quite done yet like we hoped.......but we are thankful to have a house still standing unlike many people who lost everything in the tornados.  Our foster kids moved in with a family only about 20 minutes away, and we are excited and thankful to have them somewhat close.  From the small amount of time we have gotten to spend with the family we are so thankful for them as they seem to be a very loving home.  We hope to build a better relationship with them and stay connected to the 3 little ones we had for 10 months.

By Thursday evening last week both Matt and I were wiped out.  To me a quiet anniversary evening at home sounded just great, but we managed to go out to eat at Country Cabin (one of the best restaurants around our area.....and there aren't that many options).  After having all the rain the over the past few days that week it seemed refreshing to sit outside on their deck and enjoy the sun.  We were the only ones out there, so we enjoyed a quiet and peaceful atmosphere together.  We split a meal and actually ended up still taking half of it home.  We then made a trip to Wal-mart and picked up a few things.  One of the things being chocolate, brownie frozen yogurt for me!  =)  We then headed home to enjoy the rest of our evening together.

In our 3 years of marriage it seems that we have gone through some very tough circumstances together, but how else is God going to grow our love for each other so deeply.  I do deeply love my husband, and I'm so thankful for the forgiveness and grace he shows me.  He does a great job modeling to me how Christ loves His church.

Thanks babe!

22 Weeks Pregnant

Well, we have done a bad job of taking pictures of my belly throughout my pregnancy, so I am going to try to do better at capturing my bellies progression this last half of my pregnancy.

Here I am at 22 weeks.  Baby is starting to move a lot, which is really a cool feeling.  Matt hasn't been able to feel much of the little kicking and punching going on inside me, but I'm sure that will come soon.
